Transgenic animals (salmon, GloFish): uses in research

Also: AquAdvantage salmon, GloFish, GM animals, fluorescent zebrafish

Animals carrying added genes. AquAdvantage salmon grows faster using a growth hormone gene and was the first GM animal approved as food in the US (2015). GloFish are fluorescent pet fish developed from research zebrafish.
